Amigos de la Sevilleta (Amigos) is the Friends Group for Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge. Since 2007, we have worked to help with education and research at the refuge. We are dedicated to preserving the natural and historical resources in the 359 square miles of the refuge.

What we do

We greet visitors, help with public events and tours, bring in speakers, and help school groups visit the refuge by paying for the cost of school buses. We pay for research equipment, such as radio tracking collars used by refuge scientists. Our members also help with refuge management programs, habitat restoration projects, and educational visits to the local schools.

Visitor Center Nature Store

The Visitor Center Nature Store is run by Amigos. You can find special items there like toys and clothing that relate to the unique resources of the refuge. We also provide a variety of field guides and other books that teach about the biological and cultural resources of the refuge.
